This year, Docupace launched National Back Office Heroes Day, to be commemorated annually on April 27. And as part of our mission to champion the individuals behind the scenes who keep the gears of wealth management running smoothly, Docupace will recognize them with the Back Office Hero Awards each year. Here’s how we’re celebrating and a list of our 2022 winners.

Not All Heroes Wear Capes

When most people think of wealth management firms, they picture what’s called the front office: advisors, clients, and client-adjacent roles. But as anyone who works in the industry knows, the real heavy lifting happens in the back office. Onboarding, compensation, compliance, and countless other critical processes happen because of the tireless and consistent efforts of back office heroes. They nimbly navigate complex vendor systems, leverage emerging technologies to streamline and automate tedious processes and provide reliable support for their advisors. Simply put: the wealth management industry wouldn’t function without them.

But most importantly, back office heroes make it possible for investors to achieve their financial dreams and build lasting prosperity. And that’s why they deserve a little recognition for their tremendous efforts.

Now There’s a Holiday to Recognize Them

It’s a big year at Docupace — 2022 marks our 20th anniversary, as well as the very first National Back Office Heroes Day. We want to set aside one day a year to recognize the people who make up the backbone of the wealth management industry. In addition to observing this holiday every year on April 27, we’ll also celebrate with our annual Back Office Hero Awards in three categories:

  • Home Office Hero: An individual who works as support staff in the home office of a Docupace customer, achieving operational excellence.
  • Firm Hero: A back office hero in a wealth management firm who works face-to-face with clients to improve the financial planning process.
  • Employee Hero: The true champion of the back office heroes, this is a Docupace employee who brings the highest level of competence and consistency to Docupace clients.

 

Award recipients are nominated by colleagues or because so much of their essential work can look effortless and invisible to outside eyes, self-nominated. Visit the National Back Office Heroes Day page to learn more.
